Louis Dies After Extended Illness

Louis, our beautiful rooster, had an infection in his foot called bumblefoot. We had given him shots last year, and he seemed to be mostly on the mend, but he began to limp more, and then, one day, he just would not stand up. We let him go for a week or so, and then decided to end his suffering. We have missed our pretty but not that protective rooster.
